Polish paper invites young journalists to investigate championship readiness

As the host of the next UEFA Championship, Poland is eager to shake off old communist-era stereotypes and prove that the new football stadiums are not the only reason Poland has been chosen to host the games in 2012. 

Poland's second largest newspaper, Gazeta Wyborcza, is doing a bit of investigative journalism to see how prepared the country is for next year's football championships. It has launched a project called Mission 21, in which the 21 biggest cities in Poland are explored and investigated by student journalists.

Mission 21 has a twist - none of the journalists are Polish. The young journalists are all students at City University London, and represent 11 different nationalities.
