Paris, 27 January 2014 – The Online Publishers Association Europe today announced that the Spanish news company Grupo Godó, publisher of La Vanguardia (www.lavanguardia.com) and Mundo Deportivo (www.mundodeportivo.com), has joined the association.
OPA Europe members in France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Greece and Turkey, representing hundreds of the top news and information websites across Europe, can now share best practices with their colleagues from La Vanguardia and Mundo Deportivo.
La Vanguardia was founded in 1881 and is one of the oldest newspapers in Spain. It is published in both Catalan and Spanish. The sports newspaper Mundo Deportivo was founded in 1906.
Ismael Nafria, Digital Innovation Director at Grupo Godó, announced that "We are very pleased to be joining OPA Europe. The member exchanges are extremely interesting and will allow us to be informed of how our colleagues at distinguished quality content news companies are meeting the digital challenge throughout the region."
